Lisa is a graduate of the Queen's University School of Music, as well as the Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT in piano perfomance). She has worked as a piano teacher and accompanist in Kingston, Calgary, and Ottawa.

Lisa enjoys teaching all ages, from beginner to advanced levels. Students are given the choice to do Conservatory exams and competitions, while others play strictly for their own interest.

Lisa is also in an African percussion-based band called Rattling Tro Tro and has also travelled to Africa to learn more about African Percussion.
