Class Options
Musical Theatre 101
This option is for girls and boys ages 7 to 12 years of age and 13 to 16 years of age with no experience or previous musical theatre training. Students will be taught the essentials of acting on stage with the emphasis being directed to the development of characterization within oneself. Short skits will be introduced regularly to test their progress. Choral singing is also introduced to strengthen the need for one's voice in most productions. Basic choreography will accompany this class adding the final touch to Musical Theatre 101
October 2010 - June 2011 ( Registration and class grouping is done in September)
Cost $600.00 .............. $400.00 payable upon registering and 2nd payment of $200.00 payable in February.
Classes are on Saturday 12 noon to 1:30 pm 7-12 years and 1:30 to 3:00 pm 13-16 years
Musical Theatre Production Class
This class is for performers who have taken Musical Theatre 101 or students who have acting, singing, and some dance experience.
This class is open to Girls and Boys 12 - 17 years of age. Students should have at least one strong skill, (ie) singing, dancing, acting, or can show that they have been in a production before. The class focus is dancing styles for the stage, acting a character and singing in a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere. Additional focus of this class is the development of performance skills in all 3 Triple Threat disciplines (dancing, singing and acting) in this fun, high energy class.
This class requires a high level of commitment and regular attendance. A full theatre performance with costumes, lights, cameras will follow in June with two performance venues. Classes are taught Saturday's 3:00pm - 4:30pm
