Shannon Robinson            

Starting at a very young age, Shannon Robinson studied both Classical and Jazz/Popular genres.  As a teenager, she was awarded the Most Outstanding Jazz Pianist three years in a row under the tutelage of our very own Robert Clarot.  Following this period, Classical music became the primary focus of her training and performing activity.

Miss Robinson was awarded her A.R.C.T - Honors, and studied at the
Glenn Gould Professional School (Piano Performance) with the renowned teacher Leslie Kinton (part of the acclaimed duo, Anagnason and Kinton).  She has attended and participated in various masterclasses in Toronto, Montreal, London and Paris
.  She has a strong foundation in music pedagogy, and she is well versed in various music education methods including Orff, Suzuki, Dalcroze, and Kodaly. 

A dedicated teacher with a strong interest in Early Childhood Music Education, Miss Robinson excels at working with young promising musicians, and is keen to incorporate elements from various methods tailored to the needs of each student.   Moreover, she has developed programming in both
Montreal and Ottawa
, focused on the needs of the "youngest" musicians - classes geared towards Moms and Tots, and for Pre-schoolers have indeed been proven to be an invaluable tool in a young child's education.

In addition to her vast musical education, Miss Robinson has also obtained a BA in Western Society and Culture / Political Science from
Concordia University
, and is considering graduate studies in the area of Music and Culture.  Her primary area of interest is the relationship between Music and Politics.
