Madison MacIvor

Madison is an experienced musician who has always been involved in music. She grew up in a family of musicians and began voice lessons with her mother at the age of four. She then was enrolled in piano lessons the following year.

Since then Madison has been performing consistently in a variety of styles ranging from opera to musical theater, and classical voice to pop.

After winning the “Top Performer Rose Bowl” at the Timmins Porcupine Music Festival, and the “Music Award” for her graduating year, she completed her Grade 6 piano and Grade 9 voice with the Royal Conservatory of Music.  Madison then moved to Ottawa and completed her Bachelor of Music for Voice. Since then, she found her passion applying the tools she’s learned, and collaborating with other artists.

Madison also has extensive choral and ear training; singing for a provincial choir, Ontario Youth Choir with renowned conductors Michael Zaugg, Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt and Bob Anderson and training in Italy for the International Collaborative Piano and Voice Masterclass in the Alps.

Since then,  she has performed many times at the NAC and as a soloist with other organizations ranging from oratorio’s, opera’s to bar gigs and even street busking occasionally for fun.

Though singing is her main focus, she also plays the keyboard, ukulele, violin, cello, flute and saxophone. She is currently in the process of learning new music softwares and applying all of her current knowledge in new and innovative ways.

Madison is very knowledgeable in the techniques behind healthy singing and has seen them in play many times before! After years of training she is excited to help you grow as a musician and find your true voice. She will help shape your musical abilities while focusing on your confidence to be the best you can be! Madison will mentor you into the future and give you all her tools to help inspire you in your pursuit of music. Her main focus is to help you grow and ensure you love it every step of way!
