Tracy Sanmiya

Tracy is a vocal and piano instructor who graduated of the University of Western Ontario (UWO) holding a Master’s in Communications and Journalism. She studied music privately, at both the Royal Conservatory for piano and voice, and Conservatory Canada for voice, placing in vocal competitions and performing with the UWO Chorale throughout London, Ontario with the university symphony. She has taught voice, piano, music theory and history for many years, and holds an Honours Diploma for Vocal Performance from the Cambrian College Music program. 

Tracy has graced the stage in jazz, opera and musical theatre productions, has recorded, and continues to perform as a soloist across Ontario. Tracy has worked as lead vocalist (alto) for St George’s Anglican Church (London) and appeared as a featured soloist with Bel Canto choir in Sudbury, Near North Voices and chamber orchestra in North Bay, and at the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards in Sudbury among others. She can currently be seen performing with the Ewashko Singers, in Ottawa, who recently recorded Songs from the Heavens a collection of 11 sacred pieces for the Ukrainian Catholic liturgy, sung in Ukrainian, by Canadian composer, Joanna Estelle (Storoschuk) and she will adjudicate the Kiwanis Music Festival this spring in North Bay.
